Woman behind kind NYPD officer photo appears on 'Today'

This article is about how a woman named Jennifer Foster caught a picture of a police officer giving a homeless man some new winter shoes with thermal socks. She took the photo, not intending to share it- but actually sent it out as a department-wide e-card where she works. Then the NYPD contacted her and asked if they could use the photo on their facebook site. She agreed. From then on, the photo spread like wildfire. It was posted on Tuesday, and by Thursday it had more than 420,000 "likes".
Foster, who took the picture, said that she took it because it reminded her of her father, when he was in the NYPD.
The officer caught in this act of kindness, has been identified as Officer Larry DePrimo.
What did you think was the most interesting part of the article?
The most interesting part of this article was that even though the shoes cost the officer $75, he still went out of his way to help this less-fortunate man.
How does this current event affect your life? Is the change positive or negative? While this article shows us that there are still decent people out there, it also shows us the power of the internet, and social networking sites. This photo went from 0 to over 430,000 likes in just two days! The woman who took the picture, and the police officer, have become overnight sensations. People all over the country now know about this act of kindness, all in less then 3 days.

Article Title- Powerful New Weapon in treating cancer: HIV virus
Summarize your article.
This article is talking about a major discovery in the world of leukemia and cancer. The Huntsman Cancer Institute is heading up the program here in Utah. The discovery shows that doctors can take HIV cells out of the patient, mutate them, and put them back in. These cells then target and kill the leukemia cells. Even after all of the cells are killed, the HIV cells stay in the body and kill any new cancer cells. This new treatment was tried out on a seven year old girl, and the treatment was very successful. Doctors say that this could lead to using these cells to target cancer cells.
